  • Conduct qualitative research on field test classroom videos of the Game AI unit focusing on students’ sense-making of race and gender
  • Conduct qualitative research of students’ sense-making of race and gender within the Game of AI unit
  • Perform studies to create a new metaphor for the curriculum-teacher relationship based on teachers’ adaptations and usage of the game AI unit
  • Evaluate and select teaching clips to use in National OpenSciEd High School Professional Learning to help teachers develop their understanding of storyline curriculum, 3D Assessment, Equitable Teaching practices, and Universal Design for Learning
  • Develop a grant proposal for the OpenSciEd Fellowship program
  • Analyze student and teacher response data to improve OpenSciEd Chemistry curriculum
  • Conduct mixed-method research to identify and understand moments of support during small group collaboration through the Sensor Immersion unit classroom videos
  • Support and advise 15 pre-service teachers to organize STEAM learning activities for 50+ K-5 students in Boulder, CO schools

  • Lead the research, design, and delivery of a series of Computational Thinking MOOCs serving 50,000+ students from 36 countries up to date
  • Analyze engagement data of students, teaching assistants, and parents from multiple digital channels to improve the digital education platform’s components (LMS, Live-Streaming App, and Students Social Network) and students’ performances
  • Strategize multi-year Computational Thinking education roadmaps for K-9 students
  • Lead the implementation of a partnership with UNICEF and Scratch Education Collaborative to bring Computer Science to one million students
  • Conduct research on the impact of each learning activity in Computer Science classes on students’ thinking and online merge offline teaching model
